Dodington has several open spaces and play areas for the community to enjoy.

Dodington Parish Council is responsible for Lilliput Park and play area, Woodchester play area, Goldcrest play area, QEII Playing Fields (formally known as Kelston Close playing fields), Wapley Bushes Nature Reserve, common and picnic field, St Peter’s Burial Ground, and Dodington allotments on Besom Lane.

Allotments

Dodington Allotment Association is run by a voluntary group supported by the Parish Council. The allotments are located alongside Wapley Common. more >

Goldcrest & Woodchester Play Areas

Goldcrest play area is located in the green space behind Goldcrest Road, close to Slimbridge Close.  There are junior swings and a roundabout, as well as a separate toddler play area. more >

Lilliput Park

Lilliput Park play area has a toddler play area and fun equipment for older children.  There is also a range of adult outdoor fitness equipment for people aged 14+ years. more >

QEII

The QEII Field football pitches are on Kelston Close, Yate.  The pitches are available to hire for the 2021/22 season. more >

St Peter's

Dodington Parish Council is responsible for the burial grounds at St Peter’s Church in Wapley. more >

Wapley Reserve & Wellbeing Area

A real jewel in our crown, Wapley Common is a wonderful slice of countryside across the road from the Shire Way estate. more >
