M4 J19 / M32 roundabout – carriageway retexturing works and reinstatement of road markings
We’re retexturing and reinstating road markings at J19 of the M4 / M32 roundabout. Retexturing gives the road surface improved grip. This will maintain and improve safety for everyone using the road.
The works will be spilt into two phases with the roundabout partially closed to road users depending on their direction of travel.
From 8pm Monday 04 November – 6am Wednesday 06 November
M4 eastbound Traffic wanting to head southbound on the M32
The M4 J19 eastbound exit slip will be closed. A well signed diversion route will take road users:
- to J18 to rejoin the M4 heading westbound
- signage will then take road users off at J19 to join the M32 southbound.
M32 northbound traffic wanting to head eastbound on the M4
The M4 J19 / M32 roundabout will be partially closed. A well signed diversion route will be in place:
- Traffic heading northbound on the M32 will travel westbound on the M4 leaving at J20 to join the southbound M5
- exit the M5 at J16 and rejoin the M5 heading northbound
- exit the M5 at J15 to join the M4 heading eastbound
From 8pm Wednesday 06 November – 6am Thursday 07 November
We’re closing from J19 of the M4 westbound exit slip, to J1 of the M32 southbound.
For M5 southbound road users wanting to head southbound on the M32, a well signed diversion will be in place:
- Traffic heading southbound on M5 will continue and exit at M5 J16, heading southbound on Gloucester Road
- At Filton roundabout, head eastbound on the A4174 to join the M32 at J1
M4 eastbound traffic wanting to travel southbound on the M32, a well signed diversion will be in place:
- exit the M4 at J18 and travel southbound on the A46 towards Cold Ashton
- at next roundabout, head westbound on the A420 towards Warmley
- at the Deanery Road roundabout, head northbound on the A4174
- continue on the A4174 until reaching J1 of the M32
