Please be advised that South Gloucestershire Council are installing three-way temporary traffic lights on Westerleigh Road at the junction with Nibley Lane (between Yate and Westerleigh village). The lights will be in place for a trial period from Tuesday 27 August, until Friday 30 August.

The trial follows feedback the Council have received about the increase of traffic at this busy junction since National Highways closed the A432 M4 overbridge. SGC discussed this proposal with residents at previous engagement events and following discussions with the cabinet member we have agreed to a trail during the school holidays which we will monitor to see if traffic lights help resolve some of the issues being experienced. The temporary traffic lights shall be removed at the end of the aforementioned period above.

South Gloucestershire Council are encouraging residents to feedback their experiences  via A432bridgeclosure@southglos.gov.uk
