Working groups
The Parish Council has several working groups.
In addition to Full Council and the committee meetings, there are several working groups which are made up of Councillors and sometimes representatives from the public.
Some examples of working groups the Parish Council have are:
- Climate Emergency
- Platinum Jubilee
- Ash Dieback.
Working groups may also be known as “Task and Finish” groups. They are set up for a limited period to focus on a specific project. The groups report back to Full Council or the relevant Committee.
Sometimes, representatives from the community will join a working group to offer further insight and expertise. For example, members of Wapley Bushes Conservation Group were invited to join the Ash Dieback Working Group, as Wapley Bushes was predominately affected by the dieback disease.
